       You're absolutely correct about the economoy not being that forgiving, to just be able to up and move. For this reason, I'm not planning out of State.

        I don't need to move to Wisconsin for stupidly-humid Summers, and freezing Winters, We get that here in Ohio. However, my better half and I would love to drop by and visit with you and Kelly at some point in time.

What about Oregon?  Lakes, ocean beaches, mountains and you can throw rocks into Washington and California from there.  Nice place and if I am not mistaken, taxes are almost non existent.  I could pick up Raph and meet you at your West Coast mountain lodge nestled in along side the lake which only happens to be a 20 min drive from the ocean front.

I think I may have found an apartment that I can cope with.


           It's right in the middle of crack central in town, but at least I doubt if the cops will get called on me for the noise

Mmnn...  such a location might make for a certain popularity among other musicians, though I'd doubt the quality of such 'friendships'

No one said anything about friendship, it's just an affordable place with a bit more room than most of the places I've been looking at.

be carefull   - having all that cool gear you have. I would worry about people seeing me bring in a couple dozen strats, your ada museum and all those cool fender amps

Actually,

       I won't be moving any more musical gear into that apartment than I'll need. I'm still keeping the storage room, and any gear I'm not using will be there and under lock and key, and under surveillance 24/7. When I need to work on a rack, or need an amp or such, I'll get it at that time, and put it back if I don't need it anymore. It's climate-controlled, so everything will be in good shape.

I worry about my gear (we're not in the best hood either) but I have an attacking pit bull to take care of that.

Thanks Folks,

         It's been a busy weekend. I have a few more to go look at today, and a lot of applications to fax out, but it seems like I may have a few good prospects to look forward to very soon. I'll keep everyone informed when it's going to happen.
        The prospects I'm looking at favorably are in some nice areas, so break-ins won't be such an issue. Yesteray, I went and looked at the one that I mentioned earlier that was in "crack-central," and it's an upstairs apartment, so that wouldn't be so bad if I had to take that one.

Sheesh.......

       Time flies when you're having fun. I found my new digs on Tuesday, and signed the lease that night. I've been moving things over there and doing some cleaning before the major move this weekend. Yes, this weekend. I bumped up the timetable.

        It may be a little while until I can get back to the Depot. AT$T offeres Phone and TV service out where I'm going, but no DSL, just dial-up. 

        This is not the apartment I was looking at in town where all the crack-heads and hookers hang out, ('ll miss them by the way), but out in the extreme burbs. I can leave my guitars outside all night if I want to, and no one will bother anything. Same price as the one downtown.
       I'll be looking for another broadband provider as soon as my phone gets turned on, on Monday. Until then, I want to wish everyone good fortune, and safe journeys.
