Uploading pics to Member's gallery, Approval process

Hi can you clarify the approval process for uploaded pics to the Member's gallery,
I have uploaded a pic to the Rig Pics section, do I just wait for someone to approve it for it to become visable to other members?
how long does that usually take?

do we need to notify anyone that there's a pic waiting for approval?

Ooups! I forgot to check for new uploads. All pics have of course been approved by now.
