I believe everyone, including myself, feels this way. I try to look at it like wow, totally incredible just how much one man can reach out and touch so many souls in such a profound way. I would be proud to leave this world with such a legacy.
Every post I read about Jurrie serves to make sure I'll never forget him.
I know Betty checks in here from time to time, and I hope all these posts dedicated to the memory of Jurrie has a meaning to her, seeing just how much he was loved.
Jurrie, you'll never be far from us, we're all connected.

Yeah, it breaks my heart a little every time...but I find consolation in the fact that he's in a better place - without any pain.

I agree it is sad every time one of the members who've been away returns to find this thread. The fact that we still post here, proves that Jurrie still lives on in each one of us. None of us who knew him will ever let his memory fade, as we each grieve for his passing in our own way.
- To Betty I would say: Your husband was one of the finest gentlemen to ever grace this world, and we all share your loss with you.
- To Nick I would say: I hope when you grow up, that you will find these postings in this Forum, and gain some understanding of a father that was loved all over the world, and you could be very proud of.
The best of Blessings to both of you.

Sinn,
That banner will also serve another purpose too... New memnbers who join our community will eventually become curious enough to ask about Jurrie and through us, they'll find out who he was, and what kind of man he was, provided they don't look up threads like this to read about him. They might also look up some of our introductory threads to see some of the hilarious posts that Jurrie had made over the years. There are so many points in the Forum threads which show his personality clearly
Dante,
I won't delete any of the PM's I have from Jurrie...everyone one of them has a memory of laughter attached to them.

Returned today after a few years of inactivity to find this tragic news.....
leaves me feeling empty..the world moves on but somehow you expect everything to stay the same..
never met Jur in person but over the years on the board grew to respect and admire him
his enthusiasm and talents and general Jur-ness drew people together here and I am saddened to find him gone
I still remember how proud and happy he was when his son was born..
to his family and friends my deepest sympathy

As well, I just returned (2.5years) to find this news.
I can't help but remember him. Everything I did musically was done under his watchful eye, as I was questioning him and all the other board members concerning techniques as well as approve/disapprove. Not only did he develop this website, this forum, but he helped on a one-on-one basis. I am truly saddened as well as guilty for not being there for him.
Gak.
No words can suffice here. I'm sorry.
