Having sex is a lot like making a sandwich.  Sure, you can just slap some meat in there and call it done, but both are so much better with care, preparation and the right condiments.

I tend not to feel much when I'm drunk

I never really felt like a person when I was a drunk.  I don't know what I really felt like, perhaps a cross between a pterodactyl and a hamster.

Dear Forum Members,

The hardest post I've ever have to make here is this one, in which I must inform you that my close personal friend, founder and administrator of the site and forum ADAdepot, Jurrie Teeuwen has passed away last night (Oktober 8th 2009 at 09:25pm). One year ago he was diagnosed with braincancer. Something you will have read about in the topics in this section. Despite his possitive attitude to beat this, the fight was too big to overcome this.

One of the things he wanted to be arranged is that this site and the forum would continue, no matter what! Some time ago he therefore got in contact with Van Sinn and wanted him to take over the site and forum from him if he would not be able to anymore. Van Sinn will of course inform you all about the steps that have been taken and will be taken to make shure this will happen. Here's a link to where you can find information about where we are with this: ADA Depot's future after Jurrie..

Jurrie has started this site and has made it possible to create a great community where people support each other, share knowledge and foremost a place where people are respectfull to one another. This of course with good dose of humor. He was able to touch the hearts of so many people over the internet and e-mail, despite the fact some never even personally met him.

The site and forum must always be reminded to the awesome person that started this great and respectfull place.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, son and close family!

SAN

Forever in our hearts, we will miss you Jurrie ! !

Oh man, I am at a loss here. I was hoping to never see this post.

Rest In Peace, Jur.

I am very glad to have to have "met" him here & will never forget him for all he's done.

This is some sad news for us, but good news for him, as he's not in any pain now and his fight is finally over. My heart goes out to his family. I know he'll always be in the thoughts of the entire ADA family here.

Thank you San

We've lost  a friend who was like a brother to us.
But Jurrie, you'll live on in our souls and in the spiritual world you've now entered.  I look forward to meet you in our next life.

My thoughts goes to Betty and Nick.

I'm really at a loss for words right now; fighting tears.

We all heard about Jur's condition, and knew that someday.....well, he just wouldn't be with us anymore.  Myself and my family were really hoping and praying he could have at least one more Christmas with Betty and Nick.   Cry

I'm very happy to have "known" Jur and I certainly have learned quite a bit from him.
Speaking for the most of us here (myself included) who have never actually met him in person, we can see "who Jurrie is" in that "We're Stars" vid on Youtube..... there we see some of his brilliant talent and more of his shining personality.
He'll not be forgotten, that's for sure.  My family's thoughts, warmest hugs, condolences,  and prayers to Betty and Nick in their time of great loss and sorrows.

Rest In Peace Jurrie Teeuwen.  A Brother to all; we loved you, already miss you, and will see you wherever you're at when the rest of us get there.

I've been on the forum for a short time only so I don't feel that much entitled to put a word here, but well, I have come to enjoy the atmosphere of this forum and I know that it comes in a large part from its founder.

I've not had much personal dealings with Jur, but I found him to be a kind hearted and generous person. For all of this, I just wanted to add my voice and thoughts, for him and his family.

Rest in peace, Jur. Thanks for what you brought in our lives.

Wow! I am blown away by this news  Sad

My best wishes go to his wife and son.  This is a tremendous loss for us but I can't imagine how they are feeling right now.

Jur will live on though.  Through this site and his music.  I feel lucky to have known him and I'm very thankful for the opportunity to have played with him on the JAMs.  Jur & his ADADepot site are the reason I got back into playing and without him and the Depot I wouldn't know shit about recording.

Jur,  you will be sorely missed

God's speed and God bless you Jurrie Teeuwen, my friend.  I'm so glad that the fight is over for you and I wish all the very best for Betty and little Nick in the future.  Thanks for everything you've done for us all who knew you and for those future depot members who will learn of you.

Long live ADADEPOT!

I'll hoist one in your honor after work today while watching the Hear n Aid video.

C'ya around pal. Cry
